As my group's focus for the project is on the different venues of college students, I found some images of places where students like to come together and enjoy. What was shocking while I found these pictures was that, although some are difficult to be counted as a venue but people can enjoy their life through many different means. It is all because of the difference in our taste in life. I think this is why there are so many different revolutions, genres and view on art. But the question that came to my mind was why can a specific art theme be seen in different eras such as the renaissance when people obviously seem to like different things? Why do we not find five different themes in art within one era?

I would have to say that there CAN be as many as 5 different themes of art (or more!) within one era, it just all depends on the era and how it is defined. Throughout history, it is true, that certain eras were defined by one specific theme of art. But think about today's art, we are in the midst of an era, and I can't say that there is just one specific theme of art! Contemporary art is so vast and eclectic. 2 of my recent posts are about art is unlikely places. There are so many things these days that are considered art, even though they might not fit the conventional concept of art.
